Former D14 Umpire Selected as MLB Callup Umpire for 2025

Big congratulations to Willie Traynor, former Newark Little League - CA player and junior umpire. Willie just completed umpiring MLB spring training games in AZ, Dodger Stadium, and Angels Stadium. He has been named crew chief for his AAA Minor League umpire crew in his second year in AAA. The biggest news is he has been selected as a call up umpire for MLB in the 2025 season. He will be wearing number 45 when he is called up to fill in for permanent MLB umpires, out for injury or vacation. The pictures include Willie and his proud parents in the Angel stadium umpire room, at 3rd in Angel Stadium, and behind the plate in AZ with some batter named Mike Trout at the plate. We couldn't be prouder or happier for Willie, Bud and Angie.
